Mouse Guard – Season 2, Session 02: Side C

Hello!

Welcome to Side C of Session 2 of Mouse Guard Season 2!  If you need to catch up on the events of Season 1, you can find all of the episodes here!  Matt acted as our GM while Alex reprised his role as Tarwe, Kaetlyn as Heather, Kolton as Cole, Elspeth played as Miyuki, and Colin returned as Max!  We continued our wilderness journey in this episode, marching our way through the spring snow to Pebblebrook!  However, a sinister foe appeared to our patrol and engaged them on an unexpected battlefield  while on the way…

The Pun’O’Meter remains solidly pointing at 1 for this episode.

Also, if you can’t wait until next week to hear the next session of play for Mouse Guard, go back and listen to our Halloween One-Shot!  The Halloween special was our 3rd session of play for this season, so please give it a listen!  It was very entertaining, I promise.

Please, Enjoy the Show!

Mouse Guard – Season 2, Session 02: Side B

Hello!

Welcome to Side B of Session 2 of Mouse Guard Season 2!  If you need to catch up on the events of Season 1, you can find all of the episodes here!  Matt acted as our GM while Alex reprised his role as Tarwe, Kaetlyn as Heather, Kolton as Cole, Elspeth played as Miyuki, and Colin played as Max!  We trudged our way through the snow and made it to the next city on our trip to our final destination.  There we were allowed another players turn… which quickly turned into a hilarious romp through the city and resulted in some… setting changing events on a much higher level than we had established previously.  Please enjoy as you see us engage in some pretty intense re-writing of David Peterson’s world (cuz this is a roleplaying game and that means we’re allowed to make it our own!)!

The Pun’O’Meter remains solidly pointing at 1 for this episode.

Please, Enjoy the Show!

Mouse Guard – Season 2, Session 02: Side A

Hello!

Welcome to Side A of Session 2 of Mouse Guard Season 2!  If you need to catch up on the events of Season 1, you can find all of the episodes here!  Matt acted as our GM while Alex reprised his role as Tarwe, Kaetlyn as Heather, Kolton as Cole, Elspeth played as Miyuki, and I played as Max!  The weather turned sour in this episode and we got a Spring snow which prompted Gwendolyn to send Tarwe and his team out to gather provisions from other settlements.  Today, we prepared to go on that trip to gather provisions.

The Pun’O’Meter is at a low 1 for this episode… but they do exist finally in this series.

Please, Enjoy the Show!

Mouse Guard – Season 2, Session 01: Side C

Hello!

Welcome back to the conclusion of Session 1 of Mouse Guard Season 2, Side C!  If you need to catch up on the events of Season 1, you can find all of the episodes here!  Matt acted as our GM while Alex reprised his role as Tarwe, Kaetlyn brought back Heather, Kolton returned as Cole, and I played Max again!  Elspeth joined us for this season, beginning her career in the Guard as Miyuki, a science minded mouse.  We dealt with the surprise under the library floor and then did our end of session book keeping, which I think is an interesting and important part of this game.

The Pun’O’Meter is still at a low 1 for this episode!

Please, Enjoy the Show!

Mouse Guard – Season 2, Session 01: Side B

Hello!

Welcome back to our continuation of Session 1 of Mouse Guard Season 2, Side B!  If you need to catch up on the events of Season 1, you can find all of the episodes here!  Matt acted as our GM while Alex reprised his role as Tarwe, Kaetlyn brought back Heather, Kolton returned as Cole, and I played Max again!  Elspeth, as introduced last time, began her career in the Guard as Miyuki, science minded mouse.  We did a stake out that turned into a high speed chase!

Please, Enjoy the Show!

Mouse Guard – Season 2, Session 01: Side A

Hello!

I would like to welcome you to Session 1, Side A of Mouse Guard Season 2!  We’re brining our characters over from Season 1, all of the episodes of which you can listen to here, but we’re adding a new player to the mix as well!  Matt acted as our GM while Alex, Elspeth, Kaetlyn, Kolton, and myself were the players for this game.  Fearless Leader Tarwe, Newcomer Miyuki, Brave but Mousy Heather, Troublemaker Cole, and the ever Violent Max were given their first orders of the year in this session.  Tarwe got his orders from Gwendolyn and we launched into our first mission to find out what happened to some very important supplies.

The Pun’O’Meter is at a cool 1 for this episode.

Please, Enjoy the Show!

Mouse Guard – Season 2, Session 00: Character Creation

Hello!

Today is a special episode as it’s taking place on Monday, but also because you guys are going to get to listen to us making characters for Mouse Guard Season 2!  The process is scripted and intended to be done at the table so we just came with some ideas and a will to do something fun.  This episode ended up being about two and a half hours long so there’s a lot more to listen to than a normal installment of our podcast for you all to enjoy today!  We’ll be back to our regular, hour(ish), runtime episode on Wednesday though and this episode is not required listening to enjoy the upcoming series.

Most of the players ended up making NPCs that Matt, our GM for Mouse Guard, would re-incorporate later on. Most of us brought back characters we’d made in Season 1 of Mouse Guard, which you can listen to here.  You don’t need to listen to the first season in order to enjoy the second season, but it was a lot of fun and there’s some table chatter and references to things that we did in Season 1 that might be helpful to know going into the events of this new series.

On a technical note; there’s a good amount of noise on the recording.  There is some clicking that I couldn’t remove, Elspeth had a cough that I couldn’t edit out at all instances, and Sophie (Matt’s doggo) was in attendance and made some noise I couldn’t remove as well.  I apologize for this lack in quality for this episode.

Please don’t forget to leave a comment on this thread if you liked the episode, rate and review us on iTunes or your podcatcher of choice, share the episode on social media, or follow us on Twitter @WedNightGame and talk with us some!

Please, Enjoy the Show!

Apocalypse World – Session 10: Side C

Hello!

Please join the Wednesday Night Crew for the last part of the final session of our Apocalypse World series!  Alex, Kaetlyn, Kolton, and Matt joined me as usual for this, final, installment in our volcanic apocalypse, in which they complete their assault on General Mill’s Complex.  In this last episode you’ll see how Koo and Wolf are going to grow as this series continues on and how Cujo intends to get even more cars and how Kray basically stays the same scary fucking badass he’s always been.

Please enjoy the show!

Apocalypse World – Session 10: Side B

Hello!

Please join the Wednesday Night Crew for the second part of the final session of our Apocalypse World series!  Alex, Kaetlyn, Kolton, and Matt joined me as usual for this installment in our version of the volcanic apocalypse in a ruined North America, in which they continue, despite growing danger and terrible odds, their assault on Mill’s Complex.  The hijinks kick it into high gear.  There’s this thing with Koo and her boomerang… You know?  I’ll just let you hear it for yourselves.

Please enjoy the show!

Apocalypse World – Session 10: Side A

Hello!

Please join the Wednesday Night Crew for the first part of the final session of our Apocalypse World series!  Alex, Kaetlyn, Kolton, and Matt joined me as usual for this installment in our version of the volcanic apocalypse in a ruined North America, in which they begin execution on storming Mill’s Complex.  It was a crazy plan… but even the best laid plans never survive first contact with the dice.  You’ll see what I mean.

Please, Enjoy the Show!
