Lost Mines of Phandelver – Session 13 Side A

Hello Listeners!

This week is Episode 26, Session 13 Side A, for the Lost Mines of Phandelver series! This is the beginners adventure presented in the Dungeons and Dragons Starter Set.

You’ll hear Alex play Hal, a level 3 Bard. Kaetlyn plays Uitzash, a level 3 Warlock in service to a dark patron. Kolton is playing Olo, a level 3 Tortle Barbarian. And Matt plays a level 3 Grung Wizard named Rwrarp (pronounced like a frog noise). Colin was DM’ing this game. We are using the Milestone leveling variant in this adventure.

In this weeks adventure we come back from a long hiatus as recorders and players of the game. So we take a little bit of time to refocus and get back on track with what we were doing before and our synopsis was strikingly good considering how long it had been. The players then decided that a frontal assault on the castle was in order! This resulted in some immediate consequences… Such as Olo and Wrarp being viciously attacked by the not-so-strangely territorial inhabitants. We also meet some of those inhabitants and the guy in charge has an item that Olo desperately wants.

We are back this week with Episode 25, Session 12, Side B of the Lost Mines of Phandelver series! Which is the beginners adventure presented in the Dungeons and Dragons Starter Set.

In this week’s adventure, the players decide to send one of their goblin companions on to Cragmaw Castle to enact a potentially very smart plan. Then they venture forth themselves towards the destination! They arrive at the Castle and begin investigating with some newly acquired class features. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves while recording this episode and hope that you do the same while listening.

We are back this week with Episode 24, Session 12, Side A of the Lost Mines of Phandelver series! Which is the beginners adventure presented in the Dungeons and Dragons Starter Set.

You’ll hear Alex play Hal, a level 3 Bard. Kaetlyn plays Uitzash, a level 3 Warlock in service to a dark patron. Kolton is playing Olo, a level 3 Tortle Barbarian. The characters deliberate a little bit before deciding to make some final preparations in Phandalin and striking out to Cragmaw Keep! Lead by their goblin… Captive? Friend? Ally? … Let’s go with ally. Droop leads them towards where he remembers the castle is and we have a little bit of a travel montage on the way there. Then we make camp. Wait… did we accidentally go back to Torchbearer? What’s happening…

I know it’s a 1 ‘cuz I wasn’t upset by the time I was done editing the episode.

We are back this week with Episode 23, Session 11, Side B of the Lost Mines of Phandelver series! Which is the beginners adventure presented in the Dungeons and Dragons Starter Set.

Still downtime in this episode. Last time we did a fair amount of set-up for stuff we’ll pay off today; gathering spell components, getting Olo drunk, and Hal ordered a honey baked ham. So sit back and enjoy some character interactions as the players explore their new-found level 3 class features, talk the philosophy of morality with each other, and try to give gifts to horrible monsters!

Still not many puns this time around; lots of good jokes though.
